Need help redesigning my page!

————————————————————-EDIT———————————————————–I haven’t really change the look or the format of my Xanga page in over a few years. I’ve always like the simplicity of it in that when people visits my site they can find everything quite easily.
Anyways, it’s time for a change. My page currently doesn’t really have a theme, just a crazy looking picture of Rafael Nadal screaming in the background
. I think I probably will go with BomCamChuoi ‘s suggestion from my pulse question and make my theme relate to my screenname. I thinking about maybe using a background picture of roads in the woods…possibly diverging (Robert Frost reference ftw!)? I found some potential pictures that I could use (click to enlarge):
Which one is the best picture to use? Also, if you happen to know of any other pictures I could use please send me a link. If you have any other ideas you’re more than welcome to share!

Wow, wasn’t expecting all the response I got from my previous Twilight post. Thanks a lot everyone!I’m planning on seeing the movie this Friday at noon, hopefully avoiding all the crazy tween girls that will come out at the evening showings (no offense if you are one haha). I’ll see if I can write up my own review before the end of that day. I’ve been looking at some early reviews and it’s pretty much what I was expecting. I knew that the movie’s budget wasn’t so big, so a lot of the review’s negatives has been about the graphics. Pretty good reviews for the characters though. My only expectations for this movie is that it stays relatively true to the book and is at least decent, which seems to be the general consensus so far among the early reviews. Although I’m far from obsessive over it, I’m looking forward to seeing this movie.
I thought some of these early Twitter responses of the movie were interesting:
“Not that it was great, but I actually enjoyed Twilight more than Quantum of Solace (bracing for impact…)”
“TWILIGHT: cheap looking and often hilarious. DARK SHADOWS at DEGRASSI JR HIGH. With half the budget.”
“Wow. Twilight not bad. “
“Twilight, seen. It wasn’t terrible… Wasn’t great, either. I hate movies that are painfully mediocre. They are worse than bad movies.”
” It’s a sad, sad day when “Twilight” has better action than the latest James Bond movie.”
“If you want to hang out with a lot of teenage girls and sexually frustrated middle-aged women, get yourself to a “Twilight” screening!”
As noted in that article, all those comments were not made by the typical teen girls fanbase but by the guys that went. I have a feeling I will have an overall positive response when I review it on Friday. Stay tune!

I really like the idea of sticking to something close to your username (Frost definitely FTW!). I love the picture on the right hand side in the top row. It’s gorgeous!
Did you try doing a search with deviantart.com….’roads less taken’ Interesting finds.
Of your set…I like the rough road picture, but I am not sure how well that applies to your life/philosophy.
I like the first or the split-greyscale one.
How are you planning on changing this layout?
Because the picture you are using here, I have to highlight the text over his body/picture to read your text.
I like the pic in the bottom center with the trees in the background. I also like the one on top with the water in the background, but I’m not sure how it would look blown-up.
The one on the top left looks a little too spooky for a blog background. Also, the one with the snow and trees is pretty but I’m not sure what color of font would go well with it. Red would work but it may be a little harsh on the eyes.
I want to know how Twilight is too. I haven’t read the books but from what I hear this Edward Cullen guy is apparently the sheit.

I actually haven’t taken a look at deviantart yet, but I’ll go take a look. Any particular pictures you saw that you think I would like?
I picked that Rough Road picture in particular because I feel I’m on one at times. If I do use it I’ll probably make some sort of collage w/ that pic somewhere in it.

Ah so I see you like the more mysterious ones. I will probably make some sort of graphic on the top of the page when I change the design and leave the background just black or something, that way you don’t have to highlight the text to see it

Haha apparently Edward is. Seems like that hasn’t changed much in the movie; all the reviews mention something about him being gorgeous or w/e. Thanks for the detailed suggestions. Yea, I wasn’t sure about that first picture; I just thought it looked kinda cool haha.
Black and white is always simple.
i love the first three. the spooky one has such a great colour and its mysterious, the second is just amazing and the third is really beautiful (yah snow!) the black and white one is nice too, simpler in terms of colour but a little… busy.

and i just realise the twilight guy is cedric from harry potter…i cried in the cinema coz he died in that movie….xD
I like the pic under the dark forest. the first pic in the second row of pictures.
I based my theme of my xanga on my posts, sometimes just random anime characters and change the colors to match the character in the background. =) But the robert frost idea sounds good. Oh yeah, I’m gonna try to see Twilight this weekend too. ^_^ (ftw! lol)

About Twilight…I’ve heard amazing things about it, but have yet to experience for myself. It looks intriguing to say the least. Perhaps if I had spare time I would take a look, but sadly, time hasn’t been something I’ve had much of lately.

I don’t trust movie opinions. Eccentricity makes me like movies that everyone hates, and hate movies that everyone likes, so I’d go see it to be safe.
And technically, movies aren’t really a waste of money because you can always get a laugh out of them somewhere.

Wow, you change themes that often? I don’t think I can do that, especially with what my latest posts have been about. Even though I’m a fan of Twilight, I don’t think I’m gonna be putting pictures of Edward all over my page anytime soon haha.

Go for it. The other day, my friend pointed out how the books may not be the best written but are quite addictive and are easy reads. Haven’t met a girl that doesn’t like it yet, so I’m sure you’ll find it okay at the very least
i like the first and third one on the top row. The first one has a nice blue eerie glow and the third one seems suitable for winter which seems to have arrived where I am. The last one that says “rough road” seems a little cliche in my opinion.

I don’t know, there are some truly awful movies out there, ones that you can’t even laugh at because of how bad or silly it is. Can’t think of the title, but there was one movie I watched recently that was trying to be funny, but ended up being awkward and boring. Couldn’t find any enjoyment in it and probably wouldn’t wish it on my worse enemy haha
that’s so cool that there’s guys out there, that like twilight !! and your song is amazing (: the goo goo dolls are awesome.

I’m glad you like the songs! I think you’re the first one to comment about them ever since I put up the playlist a week ago. I love that Goo Goo Dolls song. I was listening to it the other day and I thought “damn, the lyrics are amazing!”

hey! i honestly really really liked the first one! its the first one that caught my eyes and i have to say its close to the color “TEAL” that is also another reason why i really like it. Then again, its up to you since its your xanga. ^^ -v
about the twilight.. i love the saga.. i read all of 4 in one month back in summer.. and now i wish i could see the movie, unfotunately I cant see the movie untill dec.. they release it in dec over here..BUMMER..
but i hope it is good.. althought movies can never be good as the books

Where you from? Yea, as long as you go in not expecting the movie to be as good as the book you’ll find it entertaining. I thought it did a good job for the most part.

Yup, I digged the movie and I would call myself a casual fan of the series
HEHE yeah finland hehe ofcourse you cant know anyone from here.. that chance are small. DID you knew that Finland population could fit into NY? heheh might be little bit exaggerated but you know what i mean, There are not lot of Finns, specially like me who came with my parrent about 20 years ago. In practical you can concider me as a Finn. hhe yeah i know from usa, like most of ppl on xanga and from Maryland..
