  • Rest in peace…

I always thought Jamie Heard was a genuinely great guy who always seem to be
upbeat whenever I saw him. I first worked along with him as Woolies a
couple of years ago and ever since then I would see him EVERYWHERE
around campus haha. He would never fail to smile and say hello to me
and talk about whatever is on his mind at the time. Now whenever I will walk
around UMBC, it’s gonna feel a little bit empty and weird not
seeing him around. Seriously, the campus is gonna be so different without you
here Jamie.  You have made such a big impact during the time you were here and I hope you know that.

Rest in peace good sir. I hope that you can feel all the love pouring out from everyone that cares about you, wherever you are. I’m already missing you man.

  • Forgetting Her

Last night I watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall which was really good!  If you liked Knocked Up you’ll probably liked this as well.  Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell were both awesome eye candy, but just in case you don’t want to be too surprise; there is dude-ity haha.  Go check it out.

Anyways I got a pretty busy week coming up, unfortunately .  My schedule so far:

    Today:  Study for child psyc
Mon: Study child psyc, read for Music
Tue: 10am Child psyc exam, 6pm USTA league match at Old Mill
Wed: CSA meeting, attend Undergraduate Research Conference for child psyc extra credit, do 2 child psyc article summaries
Thur:  Summaries due, work on BIG psyc paper, CSA Social
Fri: Meet w/ child psyc TA to discuss paper, watch Harold and Kumar!
Sat: JHU Match (home), work on child psyc paper
Sun: Study for Music exam coming up the next day

    Urgh.

You know how I said before that I didn’t feel like leaving school yet?  Yea…I take that back.  I want to be done w/ papers and exams!

BTW, the graduation ceremony is Thursday, May 22nd (the day after the last day of final) a 1st Mariner Arena.  General admission is free, so I hope some people can come by!  I’m also planning on having some sort of graduation party afterwards, but I’m not sure what to do yet.

    Only 1 month left X_X .

  • Great tennis news!

Wow what an eventful past few days!  Where to start…

Well first off, I just found out this morning that our humble little UMBC tennis club won the award for Most Improved Team on CollegeClubTennis.com!!  I am soooo happy that we got this award and this will only further legitimize our club to UMBC Athletics and among the nation’s tennis clubs.

In other news, this past weekend we played in the Blue Hen Invitationals at the University of Delaware.  The team we brought consisted of Jeff Ocker, Shane Yap, David Martin, Alex Chan, Kevin Chiong, Brian Hsiao, Kenny Lee, Tiffany Hodges, Whitney Torchia, and Sylvia Lee.  On Saturday, we won our round robin pool by beating Delaware (ranked 16th in the nation), TCNJ, and Towson to get 1st place in our pool and an entry into the Gold Bracket.  Unfortunately for us, we lost in the Gold Bracket elimination round to (who else?) Navy, AGAIN, in a close match.  Ahhh we are now 0-3 against Navy in tournaments -_- .  Overall though, this weekend was a success and we tied for 5th place among 16 clubs.  For CollegeClubTennis.com take on this event, go to this link:  http://www.collegeclubtennis.com/2008bluehen.php

I’m so tired from this weekend…didn’t get too much sleep as we had to leave from UMBC on Saturday at 6:30am and then 8am on Sunday.  The weather was so wacky at times, especially on Saturday.  There was a stretch of time when it was pouring and extremely sunny at the same time!  Distractions were everywhere throughout the tournament.  Besides random weather conditions, there were distractions from random nearby rugby/softball games (one rugby ball actually hit Tiffany during play!), random 2 mile long trains roaring by, and random parades marching by the courts.

Crazy weekend…but in the end I really had a good time.  I would put this tournament up there as one of the most fun times I’ve ever had with the club .

BTW, nice seeing you again Susan .  Congrats to your team for winning the tournament!

Alright, time for pictures!  Here are just a few…the rest are over here .

Vlogs from Day 1 (after beating Delaware and TCNJ) and Day 2 (getting lunch after losing to Navy):

Finally, here we are demolishing Kevin’s (already cracked) racket.  It was all in good fun :

So that was a very long post haha.  Now time to get back into school mode.  Just got an exam this Wed in Aggression psyc really.  Gonna watch an advanced screening of The Forbidden Kingdom on Tuesday night and an advanced screening of 88 Minutes on Wednesday night with a new girl.  Hope this week will be as great as the past few days have been

  • Yea Roddick!  About time you beat Federer!  I don’t even care that you lost in the next round, just thank you for finally beating him for the first time in 5 years!

So there’s this guy and this girl.  Guy and girl click.  Guy starts to like girl.  However, guy doesn’t do anything because he thinks she’s not over her ex.  Girl get asked out by another guy and accepts.  Guy is sad, but doesn’t mind being friends.  The guy wonders whether or not to let her know about how he used to (and maybe still) feels.  Hmm…I’ll finish up this story later.

Can’t wait for to go to Tenrens tomorrow .  I miss their bubble tea and their chicken.  I’m gonna predict tomorrow will be yet another lazy day for me.

My posts can be so random sometimes.
