  • There’s enough for everyone

…so why do I feel I’m still waiting in line?

So anyways, school’s about to start right back up and I’m excited to get back.  Here’s my work/class schedule for my last semester:

Pretty relaxed eh?  I could wake up late on Mondays/Wednesdays, only one class on Wednesdays, and my weekend officially starts Thursday at 12:45pm.  My classes shouldn’t be too bad either.  Only taking 12 credits this semester, which will give me exactly 120 credits (not including gym classes).  The only class I’m worried about is my 400 level psyc class w/ a professor that got bad reviews, but w/e.  Philosophy and Aggression Psyc shouldn’t be too bad, and music should be a piece of cake.  I love it

    New SAM comic:

    Poor guy.

    GOOOOOOOOOOOO DJOKOVIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Novak Djokovic defeats Roger Federer 7-5, 6-3, 7-6

About time we get a grand slam final w/o Federer!  Sadly, Nadal won’t be joining him there, but the Tsonga vs. Djokovic final should be interesting!

    Btw….

Sorry for the cheezy photo haha
  • I’m back home

I can’t believe there’s only a week left before school starts back up
again.  For some strange reason, I feel like my break hasn’t been that
long yet, despite being in Hong Kong for 3 weeks.  It almost feels like
time froze while I was in Hong Kong and now that I’m back here it feels
like I’ve only been out of school for a week (about the amount of time
between the end of finals and when I had to leave for HK).  Very
    surreal.

Before we left, we took some fun glamour shot photos over in China (for a very, very, very low price).  All together, we probably ended up taking over 250 pictures (!!!).  Most were of my mom and dad, but I joined in for about 30 or so of the pics.  Here’s four shots (below), with the rest that I’ve put up online (didn’t put up all of them; some were just too silly heh) located at my facebook.

    Yay or nay?

Anyways, one of the first things I did was go see a certain movie I’ve been looking forward to for a while now w/ Timmy and Darrell.  Now what movie was that?

“I don’t know what it is but it’s terrible”

    Cloverfield
was grrrreat (yep, Tony the Tiger great)!  Very much lives up to all the hype.  Make sure you go into the movie not knowing anything and don’t expect a lot of answers (I’m already used to J.J. Abrams style but you may not).  It’s purely from the POVs of some New Yorkers.  The monster will not disappoint

I wish I could sing well.  Scratch that; I wish I could sing and dance well.  If I could, I would be doing it all the time.

    I read too much magazines.

Still think too much, but I feel strangely…alright.

    I need a haircut.

Alright, gonna go back to watching tennis.

OMG so many good tennis matches (and upsets!) in the past 12 hours!!
Unfortunately, Federer was not one of the casualties (while Roddick was )…but at least he
finally got tested .  Way to go Hewitt and Blake!

  • HK Chronicles: will be leaving you soon!

You can’t really tell, but that Mickey is going up and down like it’s surfing in the background!

Hey everyone, sorry for the long delay.  The computer here recently got fixed…but then for some strange reason a firewall was blocking out xanga so i couldnt get in!  I’ve also been in China few a few days on a tour.  It was okay…there were too many stops to places that were trying to sell us stuff from teas, aloe vera, to rocks (yes, rocks).  Here’s some snap shots from the trip (more pics w/ comments on facebook):

Yep, that rock looks exactly like what you think it looks like.

The highlight of the trip was going to The Venetian in Macau, which is the 2nd biggest building in the world and has the biggest casino area in the world!  It was sooo nice!  Some shots from there (click to enlarge):

    So huge!

..and here a video of the indoor Venice:

Finally, I got a chance to go check out Hong Kong Disneyland!  Yea, its really small…but nonetheless the performances we saw there were really good (especially the festival of The Lion King; ooo brought back memories).  few shots from there (click to enlarge):

Wow, my vacation in HK will be over in just a few days.  I’m honestly really excited to get back home, refreshed.  I dont know why, but I feel really good about my last semester here at UMBC.  Since I’m taking only 12 credits, I will have a lot more time to go work out and play tennis, as well as persue some other things.  I’m also feel ready to let her go, completely.  Can I find my new love this semester?  As a certain John might have said, “I’m tired of being alone, so hurry up and get here”.  Whatever happens, I’m determine to make myself the best person that I can be over these next 4 months be it physically, mentally, skillfully, etc.  Time to figure out who I ought to care for, as well as figure out who are my true friends.

Yes, I’m ready.  Come and get me

  • HK Chronicles: It’s Derek, yo!

     We’re Batman.

Yes!  Derek and I finally spend some time together over here in HK.  It was really exciting to hang out w/ someone from back home over here.  Being able to speak english w/ someone was great as well haha.  We (as well as my cousin) spend the day over in Crossway Bay (Time Square, arcade) and later in Mong Kok (Ladies Street, Modern Toilet restaurant).

Outside at Time Square and in front of the mall w/ the arcade:

Too bad I won’t get to hang out w/ him one last time before he leaves.  I will be going to a city in China for the next couple of days.  I was in China yesterday as well; at Shenzhen (right outside Hong Kong borders).  Didn’t do too much except take professional photos w/ my parents.  Should be getting the final prints back on the 15th.  Gotta say that the shots were pretty cool .  What kinda shots were they?  I’ll let you know later.  Hint:  I get to hold swords!

You know what?  I’m finally starting to feel a little home sick.  I miss not being around friends and being able to communicate in English w/ people.  Despite all the good food, cheap stuff, and all the other pluses I’ve mentioned about HK already, I’m really looking forward to going back home.  One more week left…

  • The computer at the place I’m staying is messed up, so won’t be updating until it gets fix (hopefully soon!)

  • HK Chronicles: so many malls!

    ***EDIT***

Happy New Years from Hong Kong!

    ***EDIT***

Thanks for all the comments and wishes so far from yall that have commented or wrote to me on Facebook.  More of you visitors to my stuff should as well .

    PC300117

There are sooooo many malls in HK!  I think I’ve literally been to over 30 malls, not even exaggerating.  You girls would love it here haha.  Women clothes are extremely cheap!  If i knew everyone size I could probably buy each one of yall something.

Got word that Derek should be in HK soon.  Really hope we can hang out sometime soon!  I think it would be cool chilling with a friend I normally hang out w/ in the US all the way over here.

My goodness…sorry, but when I come back to the US I’m gonna have a much higher standard of girls, at least physically.  Cute girls are everywhere (especially in the malls.  Coincidence?)!  Whether or not they have a good personality is another matter…but there must be at least a few of the millions of girls I’ve seen that also could make me laugh or can hold up a fun conversation.  At least this help reaffirms that there’s indeed a big ocean of girls out there, and that I shouldn’t get hung up on one for so long.  Ah only time…

~Some interesting things I’ve noticed in Hong Kong~

    …about the people

    *The girls:

~Hair:  long, colored, straight, usually with bangs

~fashion:  black stockings w/ boots (often rain boots) as seen in example below, very tight jeans, chucks, scarves, cool glasses, tend to wear a lot of layers (my guess for the reason for that below)

    PC300118

    I dig it.

~seems like EVERYONE is skinny.  Quite a contrast to the US…

*Mouth masks.  People seem to wear it either to protect from the polution or to prevent spreading their germs if they’re sick.  People w/ masks are rare, but the sight of them is very peculiar when you don’t see people wearing them at all in the US.

*50-60 degrees is freezing to people in HK.  Everyone is layered up as if it’s 25 degrees.  Kinda funny whenever my family in HK remark that it’s so cold when to me it feels like early fall.  Ahh beautiful weather….

*Generally, people here are very much like people in the US.  Except more Asian.  And skinny.  And speak Cantonese.  And have really good fashion sense haha.

I could probably go on to write a bunch more…but I’m tired now.  I won’t tell you the next subject for my next entry so it can be a surprise alright?  Hope to hear from you guys!
