Month: June 2007

  • Ok, time for an update

So I ended up getting the Nokia N75 (shown above) instead of trying to go for an iPhone.  I think I’ll just wait til the price drop just a tad before I consider that again .  For now, this phone will do just fine.  Oh and yes…I FINALLY set up my voicemail!  Haha, I haven’t had one for the past few years.  How was I suppose to know my voicemail number was a different number than my number?  Well anyways I have one now so no more endless ringing if you call me

I’ve actually just got back home yesterday from my week long stay at this year’s ADIDAS Tennis Camp at UMBC.  It has been a very long and hot week, but very fun and well worth it!  Only two folks from last year came back this time (which was kinda sad at first) but there were a whole lot more campers this year that were just as good as last year!  Of course, there were a couple of runts amongst the group haha…but for the most part we had a good group of kids.

    My team this year

    The whole camp!

…and the return of ghetto ping pong (this time w/ water bottles)!

Really, still two more months of summer?  I think I’m already ready to get back to school

  • Ok, now I have no idea what to get…a lot of choices does not help at ALL…

List of movies that I’ll probably go see this summer:

    June 22nd:  1408, Evan Almightly
June 29th:  Live Free or Die Hard, Sicko
    July 4th:  Transformer
    July 13th:  Harry Potter
July 20th:  I Now Pronounce you Chuck & Larry
    July 27th:  The Simpson’s Movie
August 3rd:  The Bourne Ultimatum, The Ten
August 10th:  Rush Hour 3, Stardust
    August 17th:  Superbad
    August 24th:  War

  • Er….yea nevermind.  I think I’ll just get a Blackjack instead

  • iPhone

Yea…I think I’m gonna splurge on myself and buy the iPhone when it comes out this summer .  I’m always checking my emails and reading up on celeb gossip, so this would work perfectly!  Wouldn’t even need a gps system for my car if I can just look up Mapquest on my phone.  Gonna cost me a bundle…but w/ the pay from my internship I should easily afford it .

    HOT!!
  • Friends are great, don’t you agree?  They can really make your day brighter just by being around them

Not a whole lot going on lately, except for my internship (which is going very well, especially the pay heh).  Hopefully with the money I make I can save around 4 grand for tuition and vacation money (for China).  What to do w/ what’s left (which should be a good amount)? Hmm…well I guess I’ll make a wish list for myself:

    Wish List:

-Wii (for my brother really; he’s been aching to try it out for the longest time so I think I can help him out…besides, I can play with it as well haha)
-2 new tennis rackets (probably the new K Factor rackets)
-new stringing (for my old rackets)
-box of balls (just for me to use )
-new cellphone (my phone has been alright for the past 2 years…but it’s time for an upgrade)
-Flat screen tv (for my single next year, so I would have more space.  Hmm, anyone wanna buy my old 20 inch TV?  )
-Tickets to Legg Mason and US Open (because I looooove tennis)

Check out this new act going around (from angryasianman):

    n*gger wetb*ck ch*nk

Three words: N*GGER WETB*CK CH*NK. Before you get all bent out of shape, be aware that N*GGER WETB*CK CH*NK
    is a provocative, critically-acclaimed, smash-hit three-man stage show
blending theater stand-up comedy, slam poetry, and true-life stories to
take on racial slurs, stereotypes and the concept of race itself in a
90-minute stage production. Here’s a recent article on the show: Show’s unspeakable name opens dialogue on race. And another one here: Trio gives personal, funny look at racism. According to cast/co-writers Miles Gregley, Rafael Agustin, Allan Axibal:

    “The
show traces the origins and evolution of three derogatory terms that
shaped our lives and took the place of a genuine understanding of our
distinct cultures. In doing this show we hope to depower these words
for ourselves and for our audiences.”

    I’ve
heard a lot about this show, and have been wanting to check it out for
a while. It’s been touring at colleges and venues all around the
country for the last couple of years, and is landing back in Los
Angeles—where it all started—this week, starting tonight. Seven
performances a week, running June 7th through July 29th at at the Ivar
Theatre in Hollywood. For more information about N*GGER WETB*CK CH*NK, go here. Also check out some cool video clips here and here. For ticket info, go here.

Man, sucks that t’s not being shown in this area….you know I would have wanna checked that out

  • Whew, first day of my internship is over!  Not bad I say…but today was gonna be one of the slower ones.  Let see how I feel in a couple of weeks
