  • Aw, spring break’s over!

Mannnn, spring break needs to be a little longer because I’m not ready for the school life again!  My spring break was a lot more eventful than I thought.  Besides running errands for my family, tutoring/giving my little brother life lessons , I hung out w/ the old suite down where Jon and Jeff live (bout an hour and half away from my area).  I thought i was only gonna be down there for a day but ended up staying there for a few days…not that I’m complaining .  It was a lot of fun and I had a chilled time there!

Kevin just has no luck w/ the birds…

Dorky I know, but we had to do it…

    (more pics at my f-book)

The other thing I did over break was see one of my favorite bands in concert (BACKSTR– errrr, I mean SNOW PATROL! ) with the enem– I mean, Susan .   They sounded just like their recorded songs, but too bad I wasn’t really sitting close enough to make out their faces .  Eh it’s alright, not like i was there to see the singers (I’m sorry, but the lead singer really does look funny when he sings haha).

See, not exactly THAT close, but it’s all good!  Great concert

    Now I
gotta focus on the upcoming tennis matches our club is having.  We got
GW this Saturday, then Navy this Sunday, both away matches.  Hopefully it wont’ rain!
    *cross fingers*

  • I’m a busy Chan right now .  I’m update (maybe) when I’m finished w/ this eventful week.

  • Holy Shitake Mushrooms!

    LOS ANGELES- The ancient
battle of Thermopylae was the stuff of 2007′s first certified
blockbuster as the bloody action tale “300″ debuted with $70 million
    over opening weekend
, according to studio estimates Sunday.

That’s about $233,000 for every one of the legendary 300
Spartan soldiers who fought off a much larger Persian force in the epic
    battle.

    “On a Spartan-by-Spartan basis, that’s a lot of money,”
said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box-office tracker Media By
Numbers. “Summer came a little early, because this is a summer-style
    opening.”

The number of movie-goers for the Warner Bros. epic “300″
outnumbered crowds for the rest of the top-10 movies combined. If the
estimate holds when final numbers are released Monday, “300″ would
break the record for best March debut ever, topping the $68 million
haul for “Ice Age: The Meltdown” last year.

WOW….Go watch it if you haven’t seen it yet!  Good for guys and girls, but not quite good for little kids (for oh, a few reasons ).  I can’t believe I saw some parents bring their little son to my screening, who didn’t look much older than 10 years old.  I mean I know you can’t shelter your child from the world, but damn…this isn’t the right movie to to show to someone that young .  Alright no more ranting on that issue.

In other news…I’ve been sick for the past week (as was Kevin and later on Jeff), but I’m starting to feel better.  Taking that psyc assessment test was not a fun time; not that the test was all that hard but the walk there was horrible!  I really felt like i was gonna fall over at any moment.  Luckily once I sat down I didn’t feel as bad…hope I did ok, because I don’t really remember too much from that day haha.

This week should be a little easier.  All I really got is my Science mid-term.  Once that’s done, it’s Spring Break wooo!  Not sure what I’m gonna do yet for the first part (besides work on some scholarships), but I DO know who I’m finally gonna see during the last weekend. So excited for Snow Patrol!  Can’t wait:

  • HOLY CRAP, a PIZZA vending machine?!  5 dollars for a hot pizza, w/ 3 choice of toppings, in 90 seconds?!  UMBC better get one of those quick!

    In other news…it’s my birthday!
