  • Wei’s b-day and bowling w/ old friends

I had way too much fun this weekend.  I had absolutely nothing
planned and was just expecting to hang out at cp, maybe do some hw
    (heh, right..)

Instead I went over to DC w/ a bunch of people to celebrate my friend
Wei’s b-day and later on that night a group of Meade folks went bowling
at greenway.  I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking (check
    out the rest at http://umbc.facebook.com/album.php?aid=392871&l=d6994&id=15200041):

    Bowling time (Chris’ “O-face”)

Grace, the one who got all of us out that night.  Fun time!

    Shacka, the night’s MVP

Besides that, I hung out w/ jimmy for a bit and raquel and I treated
Wei to some Ten Ren food and introduced him to the movie My Sassy
    Girl.

With all that happened I did ZIPPO academically…so i should really do that now .

  • O school…

Ahh, I can finally relax!  My weekend officially started at
11:15am today!  It was a stressful week…well more specifically a
stressful Wednesday.  Please, kick me in the forehead if I
procrastinate like I did this week!  Why did I have to wait til
Tuesday night to START studying for my Music Exam (w/ listening test)
AND start writing my Phil paper??  Man, that stressed me out
badly.  I’m just glad all that stuff is over.

Note to self:  begin the weekend before…seriously.

Besides that I’ve been playing tons of tennis, which is the other
reason why I havent been around the gameroom so much (which may be a
good thing..).  I do want to say this though:  I’m annoyed
with a “friend” who seem to have went elsewhere..  That’s all im
    gonna say about that.

Whoa, my birthday is next Wednesday!  That came up quick!  Too bad it’s on my most busiest day .  Eh what can you do.
    —————————————————————————–
On another note, here’s something funny I found at the tennisfans livejournal community.  From haruhiko post:

Lleyton Hewitt’s always reminded me of what Calvin (from Calvin and Hobbes) would look like all grown up, but never more so than in the following pictures:

    Lleyton XD
    C & H, yo!

Haha…that made me chuckle just a little bit.

  • Melting Pot

1 and a half year anniversary with Raquel today!  Whodathunk?

    Damn, we rule!

We celebrated it last night at the Melting Pot
If you haven’t gone there I highly recommend it.  Sure, it a wee
bit expensive (expect to pay over $70 per couple), but man do you get a
lot from it!  We spent 2 hours there eatting cheese fondue, salad,
steak, salmon, shrimp, chocolate fondue…MMmmmm just getting watery
    thinking about it.

Definitely one of the best meals i’ve eaten!  In the same vein as Derek I will post up pictures of the meal:

Cheese fondue w/ bread, apples, celery, and carrots to dip

…and into that big hole in my face

    Cheesy!

It’s literally glowing from all the cheese they dunked in there!

    Still very happy

Not food; just a pretty picture

    Flaming chocolate fondue awaits us!

Cheesecake, cherry, marshmallows, pound cake, banana, and brownies used to dip into that delicious bowl of hot chocolate.

Alright no more procrastinating.  Must go do some homewo– is that Air Force One on Showtime..?

  • –edit–

More people added at the bottom (cause I’m still procrastinating):

    –edit–

Just came back from a fun show at CP called the VSA Family Night.
I was there with raquel, robert, jon, danny, and scott.  I’m sure
they’ll post up pics from the event (especially all the asian girls eh
you know whom ).  Ha and Catherine
(raquel’s roommate) were in the show too.  It was a fun watching,
even though i didnt know over 75% of what they were saying heh.

I tried out this site called myheritage.com that I found over at
Helen’s xanga.  Just to entertain some of you guys I’ll show you some celebrity match ups:

Wooo so tired.  Valentine’s Day this year was very low key and
relaxing, but no way less fun!  Tonight we went to watch Love
Actually at the Skylight Room.  It was a pretty awesome event
because there was free chocolate stuff (including the chocolate
fountain!) and free drinks.  mmmm, lovely….

We also gave each other bag full of gifts.  I got her a bunch of
expensive chocolate and a perfume from bath and body works (Japanese
cherry blossum).  she got me Saw II and gummys!  O yea, Saw
II, most romantic gift ever (honestly, it’s a great gift from a great girl).

Gonna rest now, but here’s some pics from this evening:

    Heading out

drew this right outside of the common’s garage before Raquel
came.  See if it’s still there tomorrow (front of the elevators)

    Gifts!

    Chocolate everywhere!

  • Sorry I couldn’t come by to the Date Auction tonight!  I was too hungry heh.  Hope it went well…tell me about it for those who went (give me details ).

For those of you who do get dates tonight, you can take them to this free event tomorrow!  They are showing Love Actually, for free, and there will be a chocolate buffet!  MmmmMmmm….It starts at 7pm up in the Skylight Room.  If that isn’t enough incentive know that Raquel and I will be up there .  Cya there!

O, i should be around the gameroom a lot more this week; not as busy.  I need to play some pool!

Let celebrate this joyous holiday :

    Steak and Blowjob Day

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Jump to: navigation, search

Steak and Blowjob Day is a humorous parody holiday created by radio disc jockey Tom Birdsey in 2002, as a male version of Valentine’s day. The day is supposed to be celebrated by women giving “their man” a high quality steak and performing oral sex on him. The day is marked as happening on March 14, a month after Valentine’s day. The holiday was created with some promotional intent by the radio station 103.7 FNX in Providence, Rhode Island.

Birdsey’s official webpage for the holiday contains links to recipes
for steak and oral sex techniques, as well as selling merchandise and
offering to send cards with messages such as “March 14th is a day for
you/Meat on your plate/And in my mouth too.”

The idea has spread beyond Rhode Island to Internet culture,
although the date has varied. The date was initially set to March 20th,
but in 2003 and subsequent years it was relocated to March 14th, one
    month after Valentine’s Day.

The original message written by Birdsey (and first circulated on the Internet in February 2002) states:

“Guys, you know the drill. Every 14th of February you get the
chance to display your fondness for a significant other by showering
her with gifts, flowers, dinner, shows and any other baubles that women
find romantic. Every Valentines day you rack your brains for that one
special, unique gift that will show your wife or girlfriend that you
really do love them more than any other. Now ladies, I’ll let you in on
a little secret; guys really don’t enjoy this that much. Sure seeing
that smile on your face when we get it right is priceless, but that
smile is the result of weeks of blood, sweat and consideration. Another
secret; guys feel left out. That’s right, there’s no special holiday
for the ladies to show their appreciation for the men in their life.
Men as a whole are either too proud or too embarrassed to admit it.
“Which is why a new holiday has been created. March 14th is now
officially “Steak and Blowjob Day”. Simple, effective and self
explanatory, this holiday has been created so you ladies finally have a
day to show your man how much you love him. No cards, no flowers, no
special nights on the town; the name of the holiday explains it all,
just a steak and a BJ. That’s it. Finally, this twin pair of
Valentine’s Day and Steak and Blowjob Day will usher in a new age of
love as men everywhere try THAT much harder in February to ensure a
memorable March 14th. It’s like a perpetual love machine!
“The word is already beginning to spread, but as with any new idea,
it needs a little push to start the ball rolling. So spread the word,
and help bring love and peace to this crazy world. And, of course,
    steak and bjs.”

  • Hey guys, sorry if I haven’t been around lately (both xanga and the
gameroom).  Been so busy w/ clubs and stuff, especially the Tennis
Club.  We had our first meeting yesterday and it was pretty
successful, although kinda nerve-racking for me.  I got a bunch of
new folks to join so it all works out.  I was spring to come!

Last night i slept over CP and hung out w/ raquel, before you leaves me
to go to Penn State w/ her friend this weekend.  Hope they have
fun and I hope they don’t have too much trouble coming back on saturday
night (since it’s suppose to snow 6 feet!!!)

In the mean while I’ll just read a bunch for classes…yay….

    ———————————————————-

Recognize that pic guys?  heh sorry, i found it a while ago on
Steph’s site and thought it would be funny to post on collegehumor.com

Yea, That’s Keira Knightley (!) and Scarlett Johannson (!!)…w/ a guy
name Tom Ford (?).   Rachel McAdams was suppose to pose for
the magazine too but backed out at the last minute.  If
only….throw in Penelope Cruz, Jessica Alba, and Maria Sharapova and
    I’ll be in heaven

Hilarious short story of an Asian guy wondering why white girls don’t
date Asian guys and his misadventures.  When you see it you know
    why I recommended it

    From aintitcoolnews.com:

X-Men 3 is not looking good at all.  Why did it have to be
directed by another director and why did it have to be so rushed?
All i can say is beast sorta looks alright, but no in that pink leather
outfit he got on in that poster.

The poster, as talked about at the site, looks eerily similar to Rent’s poster.  aiya…

    Here’s a Valentine-nized version of the above:

  • Past few days hasn’t been too eventful besides the Best Week Ever Live
show (which was hilarious!).  Just catching up on some sleep and
reading.  This coming week though…o man it’s gonna be
busy!  I gotta be at Involvement Fest each of the three days for
three separate organizations.  That plus some other things…yea,
    fun times…

My mom got me this chiese outfit the other day.  not bad…REALLY blue:

    ALright im tired…goodnight

    Got this From Kim:

    Your Love Life Secrets Are

Looking back on your life, you will only have one true love.

You’re a little scarred from your past relationships, but who isn’t?

You expect a lot from your lover – you want the full package. You tend to be very picky.

In fights, you love to debate and defend yourself. You logic prevails – or at least you’d like to think so.

Getting over a break-up doesn’t take long. Easy come, easy go.

    >

    —————————–
So the first 2 days of school have been alright, although tiring.  Experimental Psych (332) seems like it won’t be TOO bad…I’m gonna have to somehow stay focus in that class since it’s an 8:30am class.  Music 100 sounds like it will be fun and pretty easy, although the music listening tests seems kinda tricky.  Psych 305, the Exceptional Child, looks to be pretty good class with a laid-back teacher.  Phil 152, Moral Ethics,
sounds scary so far haha.  The professor isn’t boring, but man was
the lecture today confusing (even though i’ve taken a moral class
before)!  Hopefully i’ll get more into it as we go on and be able
to make a friend or two in that class.

So Phil 399a, Philosophy and Film,
is the only class i havent been to yet.  I’m gonna go there
tomorrow at 7:10pm.  Apparently we are gonna watch Office Space; I
heard it was funny…has anybody seen it?

I should do some reading for classes…eh, that’s what next week is for!

    –edit–
So Phil 399a seems pretty good!  We get to watch a movie every
other week, which isn’t too shabby.  Unfortunately we also have a
short paper to write every other week PLUS we have tons of reading to
do.  Still, not to shabby…I just gotta stay a top on those
    readings.

Such a long week…but luckily it is over academically.  this
weekend I got a bunch of reading to do…I have a feeling that reading
will be the story of my life for the next few months…fun!
