Month: July 2005

  • yesterday raquel came down for a day, which was awesome.  I even
told work that i couldnt make it that night (although honestly, my
throat really wasnt well and i didnt think i could have done my job
anyways.  Argh im still sick!).  Yep, we had a good
    time.

today i went to this chinese opera show that my parents and my aunt
were in.  It went on from 5:30-10pm.  It was ok at
first.  Pretty boring because i couldnt understand what the people
were singing about.  Also, beside helen and me, i think everyone
else that was there were either under 11 or over 40 haha.

Once the food came it got better.  My parents rocked the house
like always!  I’m not just saying that either!  when they
sing they do some actions too, and man they sing loudly!  all
their practices paid off.  after they and my aunt were done some
of us gave them roses and such.

i watched the kids outside for a bit afterwards.  came back in and
my mom took me around to many tables, showing people that havent seen
me since i was a tot how much ive grown haha.  Got a bunch of
positive comments, so im happy about that .

Later on i came by the room where all the kids were and one of the
girls bit my arm!  she kept biting for about 30 seconds before she
finally released me.  I had this big bite mark on my arm (and its
still there!)  I later told her dad about it (who happen to be my
dad’s best friend) and he talked to her about it.  These
kids…heres the mark btw (this is couple of hours afterwards):

I think i have to thank that girl after what happen next.  all
night there have been drawings for prizes and guess what??  I won
the last (and best) prize!  100 bucks!  WOOOOOOO!  i can
finally say ive won one of these things haha.  So happy.

that money will help out with this coming week’s trip to Allentown PA.

    Good day…

    –edit–
o yea, thanks for the gifts Darrell!  I appreciate it

  • Yesterday i worked from 8:30-2pm at AE.  Not bad not bad…I dodge
Gina like the plaque the entire time haha.  What really surprise
me was that at the end of the day Gina gave me a star for helping out
this one customer for a half hour!  Yea, these star things are for
employees that do good for a day and at the end of 2 weeks we are gonna
have a drawing for prizes.  Woo!

after work i went w/ berto, lucas and laura to baltimore to see the
orioles play against the texas rangers.  the baseball itself wasnt
too exciting (except the beginning when orioles were tearing it up),
but these games were more like social gatherings.  It was
fun…first baseball game for me actually.  And look what i got
    for free there:

today, after watching Lost w/ roberto, i went to work from
2-5:15pm.  I took my jeans quiz today and man did i get a
beating!  Ouch…i need to brush up on my jeans.  I made a
really embarassing answer to the question “what does A.E.O. stand
for?  well the answer was on this paper that Gina did not let me
see beforehand (when i was suppose to!) so instead of putting the right
answer (Approach, Embrase, Outfit) i put down American Eagle
Outfitters.  The managers sure got a good laugh at that

However after “passing” the quiz i got to pick any jeans i want for 10
bucks!  The cheapest pair we have are 30 dollars so its a great
deal.  I ended up getting the loose fit destroyed vitage repair
wash (yea a lot of adjectives!), which normally cost 48 bucks.
hellz yea!  here a pic of the jeans:

My throat…i think im gettin sick.  hmm…

  • here’s a collection of pics for ya:

Oh, and if you have time take my 10 question quiz about me! Gotta warn you though that it’s very hard; anybody who can get 50 or more on it without cheating I’ll give them a little something something

    Take my Quiz on QuizYourFriends.com!

  • wooo havent updated in a while!

Well to basically summarizes what has been going on I’ve just been
vacationing all week!  I went to Ocean City w/ roberto, teresa,
their friend anabell, and raquel.  That was alright (although the
trip mostly consisted of driving w/ the ocean part being a small part
of it haha.  Heres a pic:

the next day (wednesday) raquel and I went back to NJ and I stayed there til saturday night.

I woulda stayed longer but UNFORTUNATELY american eagle had to have a
freakin important meeting on Sunday at 8:30am!  grr….well to
make a list of things about NJ and stuff i did:
    -NJ people can not drive
-NJ people really can not drive!  (haha sorry derek)
-They have this “jughandles” where you have to make a right, then another right in order to turn left
-White Castle burgers makes me hallucinate after 7
-Hirbachi Grill is Yum YUM YUM!
-The Sims is an addicting game…wow
-I overcame one part of my fear and went boogyboarding…once more!  (havent done so since i was a kid)
-Went to the beach every day
-NJ shores >>>> than Ocean City.  Why?  Better
boardwalk, cleaner sand, warmer waters, and even the water
cleaner.  the only down side is that you have to pay to use the
beach (unless you come on wednesday or thursday).
    -Fried Oreos are deliciouso!
-I got a new copy of Constantine thanks to raquel’s dad…o yea.
-swimtrunks are not friendly on my junk (if you catch my drift)
-Scarlett Johansson is the hotness (looks so good w/ long hair in The Island)
-The fireworks i saw were the best (and closest) ive ever seen
-O yea, there are like 95% white people around where raquel lives in
NJ.  Is it wrong that i kept lookin for my asian, hispanic, and
    black brothas???  haha

Heres a few more pictures to throw in:

Dame mi cheque ( think that means give me my check haha)

Dont i look innocent? (im giving the cam a middle finger in case you can tell)

The crab we saw outside of Ocean City!  AHHH!

    Cowboy Chan

Raquel rockin it a bit better

Cause I’m pimpin it all over the world!

And its FIN!  Told ya a lot of crap to put up.

    til next time…

  • Yesterday i picked up Raquel for her stay in MD.  We met halfway so I didnt have to drive 6 hours.

after gettin some stuff for the OC trip w/ berto, Elise, Raquel and I
went to se Wedding Crashers.  Jose were you working
yesterday?  the AC was broken so it felt like a sauna in the
theaters!  luckily we turn some paper into fans so we manage to
survive.  The movie was worth it; it was extremely funny!
check it out guys…its like a guy’s chick flick.

afterwards i ended up sleepin over at elise’s house along w/ raquel
haha.  we watched meet the fockers and lord of the g-strings (yes
its a porno. it was on cinimax and we were curious!  Hilarious is
all i can say) before going to bed.

I slept on the floor next to raquel’s bed.  Bad mistake.  I
ended up freezing and waking up every couple hours or so to shift my
body.  I sooo dont feel like doin that again.

We watch In Good Company, which was a pretty good flick.  It wasnt
really romantic since it focus more on a guy and an older guy’s
    relationship.

the rest of the day was ok…blah blah.

Today i havent been feeling so good.  idk, just not quite as happy
as i should be.  All those movies make me think about
things.  I wish i had this one type of relationship that i
    constantly see on films.  w/e.

  • today was my last day of work until next sunday woo! i hope that it doesnt rain so we can go to Ocean City this Monday (or Tuesday).

Its sad when my sore neck prevents me to do certain physical things comfortably .

    Yonked this from heather:

    At Your Highest:

You feel accomplished and optimistic about the future.

You feel in a slump and lack creativity.

You tend to be many people’s ideal partner.

    How You’re Attractive:

You make people feel confident and accepted.

    Your Eternal Question:

    “What Impression Am I Giving?”

    ——–

My manager Gina annoys the hell out of me!  Gosh…how can a women substain a state of PMS all the freakin time?!

My other managers are alright but damn…I guess it gives me some
comfort to know that she does that to everyone and no one really likes
her, they only can just stand her.  I’ll stand her alright…stand
on her neck!  haha nah im not that mean.

Been working a lot this week…eh, i guess im just making up for next week’s fun times!

  • Because raquel told me too, here’s a big list of stuff about me.  Warning:  very long.

    —————————————————–

I am 19 years old Chinese American guy from Maryland.

I’ve lived in Laurel until I was 4, and ever since then I
    have been living in Severn.

I went to Meade Senior High School and now I go to UMBC,
pursuing a Psychology degree. However I still have NO IDEA what I’m doing in
    the future.

When I live on my own one of the first things I will get is
    a dog.

I currently have a girlfriend, whom I met in high school but
didn’t start dating until the summer before college.

I am a big movie guy and I know the most random movie and
    celebrity trivia and facts.

    I absolutely love tennis!
I started playing my freshman year of high school and during my high
school career I was varsity all four years, most improved male player my junior
year, captain my senior year, and played in #2 singles and #1 doubles
boys.  I was also part of the first
Meade tennis team to ever win a match.
Even though I’m not super good and our team was not really that good
either I feel very proud of all the accomplishments.

My celebrity crushes are Penelope Cruz and Jessica
Alba.  Despite his recent antics I also
admire Tom Cruise for being able to be such a sex symbol while only being 5’7
(same as me).  Same goes for Oliver
Rochus, who at 5’5 is one of the top tennis players in the world.  Just plain awesome.

I was literally 5 feet away from Maria Sharapova at one
    time.

I’m 9 years older than my younger (and only) brother.

My clothes style changes like the seasons (literally).  Right now I’m wearing khakis, tight Ts and
dress shirts, while during the winter I wear more athletic clothes such sweats,
    looser Ts, hoodies and jeans.

I don’t really drink because I hate the way people act when
    they are drunk.

I like taking tons of pictures.

My neck and shoulders are constantly sore and I crave massages.

That reminds me, I am pretty good at giving massages from
    what I hear.

I’m definitely more of a giver than a receiver.

When I first meet you I may be a tad more quiet than I’m
usually am, but once we become friendlier I will act crazier.

I worry a lot, but I also have a lot of hope.

Some hobbies I enjoy doing are pool, ping pong, tennis,
watching movies, and surfing the net.

I’m at least above average at almost everything I do
(although I have been put in my place many times, which is why I tend to be
    modest.)

In the future I would want a party room in my house which
    contains the following:  pool table,
ping pong table, air hockey table, darts, fooseball table, big screen TV with
videogames, and a big, big couch.  A
    Jacuzzi would be optional J.

My favorite drinks are green tea, iced tea and fruit drinks.

    Meat, I do enjoy.

My favorite physical parts of a girl are:  hair (preferably longer), legs, feet, and of
course eyes.  T&A are optional.  I also prefer less make up for more natural
    beauty.

Personality wise, I like girls who are funny and can laugh
at themselves.  I also enjoy all the
usual things (caring, considerate, unselfish, etc).

I am sexual…I do admit that.

I want to build up a big dvd collection.  Right now I have 40+ and I buy about 3 or so
    DVDs every couple of weeks.

I like listening to everything except for maybe the extremes
    like hardcore rap and rock.

One day it would be cool to be on a reality show like the
Real World (we need representation for us Asian guys!)

    I’m allergic to everything!
Well not everything, but I am allergic to milk, wheat, soy, grass, and
trees.  Luckily for me I’m not deathly
allergic, so I can have some of that stuff but not too much (for example cheese
is fine, as long as I’m not eating a 6 layered cheesecake or something).

    Tennis role models:
Roger Federer (for his beast like ability on court), Andy Roddick (for
his extremely fast serves), and Rafael Nadal (for having such big guns for a
tennis player…I mean how does he develop those while playing tennis??)

I’m currently working on getting bigger arms and more define
    abs.

Religion wise I’m still confused.  I’m closest with Christianity but I’m still very open.

Unlike most guys I’m not a big car person.  Not my forte.

I joined marching band junior year of high school and played
percussion, mainly the marimba.  I also
manage to become the captain of my section even though I’m not very experienced
    at all.

I own two identical, 180 dollar Wilson nCode tennis rackets.

Besides percussion I have also played acoustic guitar and
    trumpet.

I love eating eggs, lobster, and sushi, among other things.

I really like quiet evening, just chilling on the couch
    watching a movie.

I talk pretty fast, so initially you may not be able to
understand me.  Don’t worry; you’ll get
    use to it.

I’m not very close with my father at all.  My theory is because he didn’t see his
father until he was 18 my dad does not know how a father should act.  He provides for the family but as a
    dad?  Not yet…

I like ballet songs (Brian McKnight, Seal, etc)

Although I do well in school, I’m no nerd.  I just do what is required from me at
anything.  However I will admit I can be
    a big dork sometimes .

    I am a romantic.  I
make my girl feel special.  I’m a keeper
    haha.

My friends are very important to me, and I hope they
    know that.

  • just  got back from work from 9pm-6am.  Really it wasnt too bad…time
past by pretty well and i had good company.  But man…i was literally
swimming in a pool of women’s underwear for the longest time haha.  so
    much clothes…

when i came out it was light out again….and it felt beautiful.  maybe
i should stop sleepin so late so i can wake up at 7….feels so nice….

ok im going crazy again haha.  need sleep

  • ocean city trip still open the 18th.  Any takers??

Today was pretty eventful.  Last night i didnt get too much sleep
unfortunately, but tonight im definitely gonna get mines.  roberto and
i went over to anokhi’s today to hang out for a bit, seeing as we havnt
hung out in a long time.  While there we played ping pong and had a big
big discussion on religion.  I need to research budhism some more…

afterwards we decided to go fishing at this ghetto pond, but before
that we bumped into some neighborhood teen friends.  They were trying
to get this big snake out of a tree and literally spent about 20
minutes trying to knock it out w/ a baseball bat, rocks, a fishing rod
and a grabbing thingy.  when they finally were able to get it down they
proceed to beat the crap out of it!  I mean for real, for a minute they
kept beating it w/ their bat and rod while stomping it dead.  the act
itself was really bad, but watching these kids doing it was really
funny.  they couldnt be anymore redneck haha.

later at 4:30 roberto, his myspace friend rob, timmy and i went to see
Fantastic Four.  Honestly this movie entertained me and was not as bad
as reviews were saying.  It did it job and if you are interested you
should go check it out.  If not for the plot then for Jessica Alba!
    Smokin!!!

hung out at the mall a bit more.  I got raquel The Sims to keep her
entertained in NJ haha.  I also got myself some new speakers!

My schedule this weekend is kinda sucky.  I work from 9pm-6am
tomorrow night, then sunday night i work from 6pm-11pm.  ew.
