These Are My Confessions
Since my buddy Simbathe2nd was able to write down some of his, I figure I’ll go for it as well. Here’s some things you may not have known about me:
1. Although I know the chances are low, I often time entertain the thought that I might bump into my future girlfriend whenever I go out in public. I blame all those meet-cute situations that happen on television/movies.
2. I don’t curse in front of people usually, but when I’m alone (say, in a car by myself in traffic) I can probably make Eminem blush. I certainly got that from my dad (except he would cuss regardless if there’s people around).3. After all this time, I still occasionally see something that will make me flash back to an old memory of something an ex and I used to do, even though I’ve long since been over her. I’m pretty sure it has to do more with the particular activity as oppose to the particular person. It’s very annoying when this happens because I end up spacing out for a few seconds until I snap out of it.
4. If you wear a sundress, I will more than likely give you a double take. My neck has been bothering me all summer, consequently.
5. You can tell when I’m really mad when I become absolutely silent. You don’t want to know what thoughts are flying around in my head if you ever get me to that point. Don’t worry though; it takes A LOT to get me there (i.e. a rude, disrespectful woman who thinks she can get away with offending my family, co-worker, and me in a public setting, but I digress). I’m usually a pretty easy going guy, although I tend to worry a lot.
6. I’m starting graduate school tomorrow, and my biggest worry isn’t failing classes, meeting new people, studying, papers, or tests, but having to give public speeches about boring assignments. I can talk in front of people about things that I find interesting, but I get extremely nervous if I talk about a topic I’m not really connected to (i.e. statistics).
7. If you ever want to hear my true thoughts about something/someone, catch me when I’m super tired. I tend to say whatever pops up in my head right there and then, without any editing. I think most of the time you’ll end up being highly flattered by what I say.
8. Even though pictures and videos of my little brother have appeared on my blog, I have not officially told him about the existence of my Xanga. It just makes me feel weird if I knew he read some of the things I write about. I got a certain image I got to uphold! =P However, I wouldn’t be surprise if he knows about this site anyway.
9. Whenever a girl mentions that they choose not to drink, despite peer pressure and what society says, it turns me on. I don’t know why.
10. I’m actually a pretty popular underground alternative rock singer, but no one really knows about it around here since I do all my promotion and shows in Switzerland.
Just kidding about that last one, but that would be kinda cool huh?

Ah, things like HIMYM do that to people. In some ways it makes life a little more exciting, but sometimes it gets weird thinking of people that way.

I’m intrigued by #9, as I never knew that could actually be a turn on. I don’t drink, and not many people think anything of it. It just intrigued me.

@i_Nutrition - Well definitely that latter. Honestly, if a girl drinks I’m fine with it. It’s only if they feel the need to drink often that I get kind of put off by it.

@skylar_rose - It intrigues me too. It’s not like I consciously realized this, but it was something I noticed over time. Once I find out, I suddenly feel a new flush of attraction towards that person.

Ohh nice confessions. I don’t swear or drink … but I’ve never heard a guy say that not drinking turns them on aha. Usually a girl drinking turns them on.

@ElusiveWords - Once, I let out a string of curse words when I got surprised by a suprisingly heavy rain storm. Soon afterward, I get a call from my brother asking if I called him. I told him I didn’t, but apparently I did accidentally call him and he heard everything! I still denied it anyway. Shhh!

This entry brought a huge smile to my face–it’s a classic Alex Chan hallmark post–very honest and cute =) I can relate to most of these. I learned to swear from my dad because he has a bad potty mouth in the car–I heard him cursing up a storm when I was 4 or 5 and thought it was cool to immitate so I rolled down the window and shouted obscenties to little old ladies on the sidewalk. My mom wasn’t too pleased. The ex/places things happens to me a lot too–it is times like these that I cursed the fact that despite the good/bad memories I just can’t seem to do certain things or go to certain places without being plagued by these associations!

I have the same flashback feeling about the ex and past activities. I shake it off now because it’s not as much of a big deal, but I still zone out sometimes when I think or see anything to do with yellow or Korea.

I don’t let my siblings know either. My sister was my Xanga friend when she used to have it, but she doesn’t anymore. She and my brother would be shocked at what I write on my site.

#9 – I don’t drink at all…i walk around with a coke in my and saying it’s rum and coke so people don’t make me drink. I’m allergic anyhow…but even before i knew i was allergic i don’t drink just because people make me…i taste what i thought would be good but then that’s it…i give the drink to someone else. I donno…i just dont like the taste of alcohol.
@lilvietchik2003 - That’s great to hear a girl that’s like me with alcohol! As much as I try, I just can’t seem to really like it. Not my thing at all.
dancing is more of a private activity i like to do, publicly not so much. although when it comes in terms of dance parties that’s another story lol

@VoiceoftheSilent - Well, I guess one habit I have is that I actually check out celebrity news sites. Idk why, but the lives of celebrities fascinate me. Hmm…I pretty much have said most of my habits one time or another on here. Can’t think of the others for now.
@Roadlesstaken - That’s cool. What’s even weirder is that I have that same fascination. I’ve always wondered if people who are celebrities are lonely. You can be in a croud and still be lonely.
I can relate to #3. It can be so random at times -_- (ie. reading a chapter on Economics and then an image of an S/O or ex-crush pops up).

2. THe biggest turn off when dating is the guy treating his family badly. I like a responsible guy
I think that goes to say I’ve always been attracted to guys who are older brothers.
3. The biggest physical turn off are: long hair and chicken legs. Everytime I see guys with super thin legs I think: dang I could totally break your thigh in half if I ever sat on your lap. Next!
