Reenacted Vintage Photos (And Then Some)
After checking out oulck‘s posts (here and here), I decided to try this out too. In the process of looking for an old picture that I could use for this project, I ended up coming across a bunch of old photos of my little brother and me back when we were both about 6 years old (fyi: we’re 9 years apart). I have to say, we do seem to have a lot of resemblance back then, yet still have our own styles. I’ll show you guys some of those pictures later, but first here’s my then and now reenacted vintage photo:
I can’t believe I found all those props! Unfortunately (or fortunately?), I don’t own rainbow shirts like that anymore.That was actually pretty entertaining to do. Why don’t some of you try it out?
So as I mentioned above, I found some old photos of my little brother and me when we were both around age 6, respectively. Seems like we each had our own distinct styles, but who rocked their style better? Take a look and judge for yourself:
“sweatpants” Superman VS “toes sticking out of boots” Hercules
Showing your inner Rocky VS Showing your inner gangsta (wiggle it, just a little bit)
My “too cool for freakin’ school” stance with dad as my back-up VS martial art fighting stance with an Egyptian God as his back-up
Speak softly but carry a big stick… VS HIYAHHH!!!Eh, I’ll just call it a draw

@SamyuktaR - I think we look a bit differently, but some people say we do anyway. If you go back a few post we made a video together. You can check that out to compare if you like.

I completely see your little brother in these pictures. Although you may not look alike, you seem to have the same type of stance and all. Hahhahaa, love ‘em. Even though I don’t know you or your brother, I feel as if I know you both all too well.
haha, I love how most asian boys pose like a martial arts fighter when they were younger. I have so many pictures of my older brothers doing similar poses to that!

Oh man, in the pictures I’ve seen of you and your brother now, I never thought that you guys looked too much alike but wow, in the pictures where you are both little, you guys look so much alike!

And that is pretty amazing that you were able to find all those props. It’s funny how much bigger the stuffed animal looked back then. This is a cool idea; perhaps I’ll try it out sometime.

@Roadlesstaken - haha I think you were way cooler than I was as a little kid. I was pretty nerdy in my Minnie mouse sweatshirts and flowered leggings haha. I only did undercover espionage work at my elementary school with my best friend and played cops and robbers in my little culdesac on my bike. haha. I never made it to super-hero levels. Oh well…maybe now that I’m older…

It’s a draw! They’re all too cute. Damn pictures of little kids looking adorable…it completely sucks me in. I could probably do some vintage pics of when I was little, but I don’t think it would look that different from they way I look now, I haven’t grown since I was 10 or 11, and the only difference is that I cut my hair short and have boobs.
Looking every bit a hyperactive little brat. I’m sure you gave your parents the migraines.

@reckless_eagle - Actually, I was quite the opposite. My brother was very loud and active, but I was always very still and quiet as a kid. My mom used to take me to work when I was like 3-4 years old and I was able to not say a word the entire time. She would not have been able to do that w/ my bro though.
