My Turn To Hype Up the DC Xanga Meet Up
This is actually the second DC meet up that CiaoBella810 and TheCheshireGrins have planned for Xangans to hang out. I missed the first one and now “my life is in complete shambles” (as quoted in CiaoBella810′s entry). I’m going to definitely try to make it this time around!
This is happening next Saturday, June 13th. Apparently we will meet up for lunch starting at noon over at Bus Boys and Poets, followed by a trip to the Spy Museum around 5pm. Sounds pretty cool huh?
I know some people might be nervous about these things, but trust me it’s fine. I had my own little Xangan meet in Los Angeles and New York not too long ago and it was a lot of fun, so I’m excited for this one that’s closer to home. There will be plenty of good memories!
Mini meet ups at Los Angeles and New York, respectivelyEveryone is absolutely invited, so I’m hoping to see a few of you there. Just take off work if you got it that day (that’s what I did). We’ve been Xanga friends for a while now, so lets finally see each other in real life! I swear I’m alright haha.Those were just the people I thought of off the top of my head that live near by. Anyone else around that I missed? Of course, anyone not around the area is more than welcome to fly down here. It’s DC! Quite a lot of stuff to see. Let me know if you can or cannot come below. No lame excuses will be allowed

Thanks for taggin’ me! Awww…. I sooo would’ve gone since I had a bad experience at the Spy Museum… and I would love to go back and create better memories, but I have a BBQ to attend that day =( June’s going to be a busy month for me with photoshoots and weddings =( But definitely keep me up to date with any other events that will be coming up! I would love to attend some =)
@Roadlesstaken - when I get arrested I’m gonna say, “Alex made me do it!” Then I’ll bust out a Zoolander pose and they’ll all say, “Awww.”
Oh and my friend recently went to the Spy Museum so I would have totally been up for going there
@ImprezaGirl - How important is this BBQ? oh if it’s early enough you could always just come for part of it. Sadly, I think this event is like a semi annual event haha, so it might be a while before the next one. Are you absolutely sure you can’t make it?

Too bad I’m not anywhere close to the DC meet up…I’m not even close to the Midwest meet up…haha…I seriously live out in the middle of nowhere…lol
@Roadlesstaken - HAH I wish.I’m going with a group for a conference, and my ticket is being paid for by my job, so I go when they say. I keep missing these meet-ups. Damn it all.

Awww… I already told everyone I was going to attend and it’s my fiance’s art group (DC Conspiracy), so i didn’t want to break my word ^_^. Maybe once everything settles down, I’ll try to create some events and hope you can make it out =) I use to plan lots of events that were happening in the DC area, but lately I’ve been couped up planning for my wedding and trying to start up my photography business.
But there’s a Mortal Plush event (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=15205975&ref=profile#/event.php?eid=52105707774). Not sure if you have facebook, but that’s the event. I’ll def attend that, so feel free to join~! =) Ohhhh and there’s Artomatic (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=78954571761) in DC. I’ll be attending that this Sat, but it’ll be running for quite some time. If you like artsy stuff, check it out =)

im seriously considering it. seeing as D.C. is basically my backyard, you wanna meet up at my house if we end up carpooling? i just have to figure out when my matches are that weekend.

hmm…I live near Mexico, so I doubt you’ll come anywhere near me in the future. lol Being around people I don’t know is awkward and nerve-wrecking. How does one go about alleviating these subconscious urges? As we get older, it gets harder and harder to establish strong bonds with someone, especially if you don’t meet them that often. That’s why it’s important to have as many friends when you’re young, so it’s easier to connect later in life.
@Roadlesstaken - About 45 minutes away. I like in Chesapeake and that’s not far at all from there. What brings you down here?

I have to check my calendar because you know I’m so busy. Ok, not really, but Saturdays seem to be booked for quite awhile. And while I love the Spy Museum, it’s very pricey and I’ve been twice so I’d probably skip that anyway.

Alex!!!! I’ve been away for too long apparently b/c now I find out there’s a DC meetup on Saturday (this upcoming Saturday!!!!) I tried asking off and boss says NO WAY. Because I’ve already asked off for 8 days in late July for a family vacation (Denver YAY!)
I’m working about 72 hours a week now and I’m just about pooped out! I would have loved to go to a Xanga meetup (and in DC no less!!)
Take pictures! Lots of it! Darn Saturday being the busiest day for the salon!
