Lost Again?!
This was my reaction when I found out that, once again, I didn’t get the position (certain parts will be exaggerated; I’ll let you decide on which ones):
“I didn’t get it?! You CANNOT be serious!!”
“NOOOOOO!!!”
“HI-YAH!”
“Grrrr!”
“URGH!”
*Pouts*Okay, it wasn’t THAT bad. This wasn’t my first time I didn’t get a job within that organization, so it doesn’t sting as much as it should. It’s pretty much a running joke that I play in my head now. Don’t worry, I’m not discouraged; once another opening pops up with them you can bet I’ll try once again! Hopefully the next time I will have good luck on my side. Until then, I think I’ll just accept that manager position I was offered at my club. Not a bad consolation prize I suppose

In better news, I’m just a couple of days away from my trip to San Diego! I’ll be leaving this Friday (May 1st) and will stay in San Diego until next Wednesday (May 6th). The invitation is still open for anyone in the area who wants to hang out! All I know right now is that I’ll probably be at SeaWorld on Saturday and beaches on the other days, with random trips to other locations throughout the city. Mmm, I’m craving for some animal-style In-N-Out burgers right now!
Also, I may collaborate with another Xangan on my next post. Stay tune.
P.S. Hypothetically, if I were to make a vlog with another Xangan, what should we vlog about?

Oh man! You’re coming to San Diego?? Nooo! xD You’re going to miss out on some fun because UCSD has a big event going on May 15th. I’m not sure if you’ve heard about it yet. BTW, I’m kind of close to San Diego…well, not really. I live in LA — which is two hours away. -_-0 Anyways, I’m planning to go to San Diego on May 15th for that event, haha. you know once i went for an interview twice for the same job and they were the exact same interviewer. All three of them, was so weird. But yeh like you i didn’t get it the second time either and i doubt i will go for the third because after the second time i realized i didn’t have the qualifications to get the job no matter how many times i went for the job. I hope you asked for feedback after your interview so you can improve next time.

Hey, every time you even interview with a place, it’s good experience so even though you didn’t get the job, you did get some practice and practice makes perfect

I used the new radical microgel midplus head racket. I used the yellow head before (the one gasquet has now) but before those, I used the NCode, the one Federer had, the smallest head size possible lol I also used the Nadal Babolat, the Nalbandian yellow yonex…a lot a lot of different rackets but I always end up liking head better.

you think that’s a lot? You’ll be shocked at how many STRINGS I have used and tried. At least 30-40 in 5 years. I change my strokes and add power to my game all the time so the strings I use one month won’t don’t match my gameafter a while and then I have to find different ones and the process can take months! Right now for the past 3 months I’ve been using Wilson Enduro 16. I like luxilon but it gives me too much power. I already hit as hard as a guy, I don’t need even more power! haha I need control
And this has both. Before, I used cyberflash strings for about a year and I hated them. I’m gonna stick to this one now

@missedout_onlife - Just reading up on that string and people say it’s like luxilon but cheaper. I should go try that out next time! Luxilon actually doesn’t provide power but more control for big swingin folks. All the spin you can generate from that string brings the ball down into the court. Have you tried doing a hybrid before?
Yeah that’s why I got it because it’s cheaper and has the same characteristics. It depends on what luxilon, one gives a lot of spin but the alu power one gives me a lot of power, also depends on how the string reacts with the different rackets! Definitely try the wilson, I think you will like it

Yeah I asked for feedback for that job, that’s how i knew i didn’t have the background cause they practically told me I need to have taken political subjects in order to answer their stinky questions. Actually they told me that the first time, funny how i thought i still had a chance because i did go through three round of interviews before reaching the final and i thought i was close. hahaha. Close but not quite there.

Hopefully your trip to SD will take your mind off the negative outcome of the interview. It’s very admiring to see that you’ll still persist to join that USTA company after a few rejections. Don’t worry, good things happen to good people. You’ll get your wish come true, even if it wasn’t from USTA. I tend to give up easily so if I were to be rejected by a company once, I will not try again, unless it was for a different division of the company.
