Well worth watching the entire 12 minutes (trust me).
It’s funny that I would see this video today after what’s been on my mind as of late. For the past few days, I’ve been feeling a little…bored I suppose, like how the guy feels in the beginning of this video. It’s not that I’m not happy with life in general, because I am. I just feel like life is lacking some much needed excitement that I could use to give myself a jolt of energy.
After all my thinking, I always end up concluding there’s a void in my life right now and having something like this happen in my love life would be one way to make me feel whole again (hey if you’re reading this God, a job promotion, winning a million dollars, or suddenly gaining the ability to teleport would also suffice! Just kidding…kinda
). I keep saying I’m fine being by myself, and to an extent it’s true. Still, I want to feel more than fine; I want to feel great! Unfortunately for now, I probably have to wait a little longer before I get my wish. I don’t imagine meeting someone through work since all the members at my tennis club are either under 18 or old enough to be my grandmother (no, I’m not gonna go GILF hunting!). Perhaps one of thoes grandmothers will refer me to a granddaughter? Haha, we’ll see.Sadly, the most “exciting” thing that has happened in my life recently has been my car having trouble starting up in the morning. I sent it to get checked up and found out from the mechanic that it’s going to keep on having that problem due to the cold and my car’s age. Right after saying this, he gives me a $700 bill for “fixing” the car! What?! That sure made me want to scream (just like the guys below)!
Okay, I just wanted an excuse to post this ridiculous screencap from PushAnyway, it feels good putting down my thoughts here so I can maybe stop thinking about it, at least temporarily. I will keep on trying my best to fill that void though. If not, I’ll just continue on distracting myself as long as I can before the next time I feel the need to write these thoughts down
. If I’m lucky, I won’t feel that need for a while.

I know how you feel. Life is good but you want things to be great. I know that tomorrow will come forth something, and hopefully I will travel the road less taken =)
If you feel this so-called “void,” nothing external or tangible could fill that “void”. Sure, having a partner, getting a job promotion, or winning a million dollars may suppress some of the negative feelings you hold, but it won’t really change how you feel for long. These external things are impermanent. I think one would need to change his/her attitude and perceptions about his/her circumstances. The only way you can be happy is if you choose to be.

I’m glad you liked the vid! I couldn’t take my eyes off it. For some reason, I was a little bit worried that something bad would happen at the end, like one of them getting hit by a car while standing in the middle of the street X_X

I know what you mean. That other stuff I mentioned were kind of a joke, but I seriously do feel having a strong connection with another person again would make me feel rejuvenated. I am happy now, but I know I’m not as happy as I know I can be.

awesome video! I enjoyed it very much. .. *sigh* if only life can be that easy on finding the one… or at least on getting someone.. lolz. && yup, there are times that you just need that little something to make you move…and once you have that… life can be more colorful!! I have to say, i’m at that point right now with my job….. im so bored..well not really bored but more like, nervous because i’m pretty new to my job…but i do wish to have something to motivate me to go to work. lolz…

Haha oh trust me, I’ve put myself out there quite often. Part of the problem is that selection in my area. I’ll admit, I’ve sat in coffee shops a few times secretly checking to see if there are any potential girls sitting nearby =P . I really should just move to CA since that’s apparently where it’s happening haha.
Online love eh? Perhaps, but I ideally wanna have someone that’s relatively close by to me as well. See, my pickyness can really limit my options

Oh hell yea, if I had all that money to spend on traveling and/or teleportation powers I would be visiting people like mad!
You know what makes it suck more? I actually used to have a girl that was as spunky and cute as this girl in the video. Unfortunately, life caused a lot of things to change. After this past full year of singleness (my first since back in 2002) I’m definitely ready to be in a relationship again!

I got stressed with work and school and didn’t have time for anything so I actually couldn’t get online for over a week :/

As for the excitement, make your own!!! Go out to the local library or the supermarket and maybe try to “bump” into someone. You just never know who you might bump into.

(: Its actually one of the ways the church gets guys to go to church. My friend here found a bunch of girls who he though was gorgeous. They invited him out for… “breakfast” one morning.
Turned out it was a church. And without knowing it, he got dragged into going on a retreat with them the next few days.
But apparently the girls were really really really nice.

I remember feeling the same way, but I got tired of it and decided to change. I went to an out-of-state college for two semesters, then I traveled to Beijing for one year. And after two years of arduous searching, I found my boyfriend. So all I need to do right now is graduate and be with him. In retrospect, after finding true love and returning to America, I’m more bored than lonely because he’s not here. It seems that when one void is conquered, another takes its place. I’m glad mine is only temporary–or is it?
My point is: If you want love to replace that void, then make it happen by being more proactive. The guy in your video dragged on until something happened, but we don’t if that’ll be the same case with you. =)

Am I trying? Hahaha you have no idea. It’s kinda embarrassing how much I try really. Things just haven’t fallen into place lately and it’s so frustrating. It’s only been this past year too; before then I was pretty much in back to back relationships. I seriously need to locate my mojo! You know where it is?
