Got any questions for me?
Quick life update: I’ve been a bit busy with my new job recently. I’m currently working part time at a local tennis & fitness club as a desk staff and a racket stringer. So far, the job is alright. Not too hard and people I work with are nice enough (although some can be as crazy/silly as me haha). I volunteered to do a few morning shifts, which requires me to get up early and get to work by 5:45am! It’s actually not that bad. I kinda like working early to get it out of the way so I can enjoy the rest of the day.
I’m still waiting on a response from the child care place I applied for that my friend recommended to me. It’s near where I currently work and if I work there I can get benefits, which would be quite awesome. Unfortunately, the lady in charge is apparently very bad at calling people back (according to my friend that works there), so I have no clue what’s my status is with that job.
Hopefully I’ll be able to get that job (or something else) so I can stay pretty busy until next fall, when I will enter graduate school (assuming I get in of course). With the economy the way it is, now is probably one of the better times to go back to school haha. Anyone else feeling the impact of our economy yet? I’ve definitely been screwed out of many job opportunities because of that X_X .
Anyways, just for fun I was wondering; do any of you (especially my new subscribers/friends) have any questions they want me to answer? They could be either personal questions about me, my opinion on something, a question asking me for advice about whatever, or just something random. Maybe it’s the psychology major in me, but I do enjoy listening and helping others whenever I get the chance. Perhaps one of your questions will inspire a future post I make!
I will probably post up a response post either Wednesday or Thursday. I will actually attempt to answer most (if not all) of your questions in the comment section below (don’t feel like dedicating an entire post for just answers). I guess if I only get one question it would be pretty easy to accomplish that
. I’m generally a pretty open guy, but if a particular question is too personal I will either just message you my answer instead or just say, “no thanks, can’t answer that”
.Looking forward to what you have to say!
p.s. I was going to write up another post with a completely different topic, but I just don’t have the time until later this week. Plus, my brain’s still trying to get adjusted to my new sleep and work schedule O_o.

Neyo!
♥
I think you’re the only person that types in proper grammar haha
@ThewayIfeel_Writings -
Nuh-uh! I use some improper grammar (like “kinda”). Well, that’s not too bad but still haha. I think I just like my writing to have a cleanish feel to it.
Have you ever driven a really, really expensive car? Suavecito drove me around in his Porsche, Titanium rode me in his Lexus IS350 and Dumpling picked me up in his Chrysler 300. Here’s a very personal question…ever done anything in the backseat of the car? =)
@BomCamChuoi -
I don’t think I have, although I think it would be pretty cool. After watching Transporter 3 the other week I feel like driving a really fast car haha.
As for that second question, I’ll message you w/ my answer.
@BomCamChuoi - haha..i wanna tooo!!! plus the weirdest place u ever ever done!!!
@s_h_a_sha -
I’m sorry, what are you asking me? If I’ve done anything in the backseat of a car?
Good luck with getting the job at the daycare! Hopefully the woman is better at calling you back then she has been in the past. The economy is kind of bumming me out right now too!
lol..i dont mind if u wanna tell me
but i’m talking that q u ask alex…..haha
wow! u have to work at 5.45am?! tht’s early!!
recession makes everything difficult, i dnt think i can get a job, so i’m gonna sleep through my summer break. =P
@s_h_a_sha -
Hmm. Let’s just say that I’m not as innocent as I look =)
stephen colbert or conan o’ brien?
you’re sucha busy guy! where do you get to time to even type a xanga entry?! lol
@s_h_a_sha -
Haha sure..I’ll message you as well.
@darth_cosmos -
After I couldn’t get that job I wanted after graduation, I took the whole summer and turn it into vacation time. I figured hey, how many times in life will I get a chance to just spend a few months doing nothing but having fun?
@kc_sarah -
Ooooh tough one. I really like them both, but in the end I think I prefer Colbert. I even bought his book haha
@xJanetirax -
Ehh, I’m not as busy as you probably think haha. I’m still just working one part time job for now, so I’ll have large block of free time throughout the week. I do a lot of thinking during that time, and it’s also during that time when I usually write in my blogs.
I am not going to lie. When I read BamCamChuoi’s question to you, I wanted to know the answer too. lol If you’re willing of course. ^_^ and I have no questions of my own at this time, but if you want, you can tell me something about yourself w/o me asking hehe
If reincarnation were to be true, what would you want to be reincarnated as? Explain.
lol stranger i was just randomly checking out can’t believe came across of this song ‘unbelievable’ that used be the song between my ex and I. Don’t you think the most scary part when you get out of a relationship is to see how people and things can just change in seconds? Yeh so I decided I would go to this friend’s bday party and so as my ex and I am actually deadly scared because first I hate comparisons and second I have no idea how I would react/feel when I see him again.
why did the chickens cross the road?
nah. jk.=)
Here’s a question…..I am a newbie….=D
Would you ever date a Stripper? and why do you think there are guys that do?
(i am NOT a stripper)
this is just a Q having to do with my personal “boy” issues
for the whole story…
feel free to message or …just respond to those
either way…im curious to read/ see your response..=)
You were going for the USTA position. You’re more than qualified to get any Psych-related job that you wanted with the grades you have. Unless the position at USTA was Psychology-related, my guess was it would be hard to get that job.
I am enjoying your playlist!
@InlUvWiTuRsMiLe -
haha alrighty, you’ll get a message from me very soon.
@x_wanjing -
Easy; so I wouldn’t catch it and eat it =P
@BlueAngel87 -
Would I ever date stripper…haha very interesting question. I think that if someone was a stripper it wouldn’t be an instant dealbreaker, but it would make me a little cautious about seriously seeing one. I think that guys that date strippers are pretty normal guys that have great trust over their gfs. I haven’t been in this situation yet, so I can’t give a definite answer, but I don’t think I would definitely say no to a stripper.
Haha now you got me curious; how come you asked that question? (if it’s too personal you could message me instead).
@knzircon9 -
Why does this sound like an essay question from middle school? Haha, but to answer your question I think I would like to be reincarnated as a person again for several reasons. Having relationships (i.e. friends, lovers, etc) and being able to think/daydream would be up there for my biggest reasons. If not a person, I might like reincarnating as a bird. I think that would be a very freeing experience and I get to see the world at my will. Plus, I won’t have to deal with stupid things like taxes and work haha.
@yeeeeelainezz -
Aye, that may be awkward to say the least. How much have you guys communicated since breaking up?
Oh to answer your question, I haven’t really thought about it that way, but I guess that’s one of the scary things. For me, the scariest thing was just losing the person that was part of my life in such a strong way. With my closest ex, I was scared that not only had I lost my only love up to that point, but also I had lost my best friend. That void after a breakup is probably the scariest for me.
@stupid_systemus -
Thanks for your kind words Jose. With psychology, yea I have good grades but I won’t be able to find a good psyc job unless I get more education, which is what I’m hoping to do when I go to grad school. Yea, apparently working at USTA is pretty hard. Since most of USTA is run by volunteers, there’s only a few actual jobs. Also, it’s hard to find out openings because they most hire within the organization. I was only able to find out about the openings through USTA contacts. I made it all the way to two final interviews and lost out to an older person at the end. Very demoralizing haha.
@retarded_beautiful -
Glad you are! What songs you like?
HAHAH Dear doctor R.
or i want.
nah just joking its personal.. you wouldnt blog about htings like that.. it’s not your style isn’t it?
I ahve a few questions for you. Firstly Why you are being so nice? secondly why dont you just write a blog about your back seat evenign because i think most of us want to know.
Now let get to a real question, do you know to cook? what is the best you know?
firsly, i would like to say.. yoo’ve watched my sassy girl im assuming? (started playing from yoor music player)haha, did yoo like it? =P
and also, being an ABC (or were yoo born in hk?) do yoo take oorself as a full american guy, or purely HK-ian /chinese?.. like in the olympics, who did yoo support? China or USA? =)
xxx~
@Roadlesstaken - lol i think multiple times but whenever it’s a msn conversation it would have a messed up ending but there’s this one time he came to my uni and found me and that was good. The one and only time lol. It’s messed up. Yeh I totally agree, I lost my very best friend that’s why I was trying to maintain a good relaitonship with him even after breaking up but it’s the hardest thing ever because I found it so hard for me to move on. So I just stopped trying and we just kinda stopped talking. So not much talking since then. I think that was my first ‘imperfect relationship’ with a person haha.
@Roadlesstaken -
Hahaha…I don’t remember discussing reincarnation in middle school :p.
What graduate program are you trying to get in?
okay I have one
what is your favorite chick flick?
…or girly movie
whatever you want to call it.
or do you have chick flicks?
@tweeny_tear -
Why am I being so nice? Am I really? I’m just being myself. Do you want me to be meaner to you? Screw you! j/k
Haha if you really wanna know about my experiences in the car (not saying that I do have any of course…) feel free to message me and I’ll tell you. Maybe one day I would blog about stuff like that, but probably not anytime soon. I don’t wanna write anything TOO personal down that I might regret later haha. However, through private message or IM is a different story.
I sorta know how to cook. Both my parents are good cooks (my dad used to be a chef at his own chinese restaurant) so I like to think I have some of their talent in the kitchen haha. I’ve been meaning to learn how to make more things from my parents. Right now, I can make a good spam fried rice haha. I’m sure I could make some other things as well; just need to spend the time to practice.
@yannie_y -
I love My Sassy Girl! It’s one of my favorite movies and I could probably watch it over and over again and still laugh. I’m usually the one introducing this movie to my friends.
I was born in Maryland, so I’m definitely an ABC. I see myself as an American guy who’s also Chinese. America is first to me, but I keep my Chinese background very close to my heart. I still do a lot of typical Asian stuff and like to eat Asian food whenever I can. I’m also trying to relearn Cantonese so I can speak it better in the future. At the Olympics, I was rooting for both USA and China almost equally (slight edge to the US). I was very please with the results for both country
.
@knzircon9 -
Hmm, perhaps I’m thinking of an english class in high school haha.
@Nhi214 -
I’m trying to get a masters in professional studies (M.P.S.) in Industrial/Organization Psychology. Basically, it’s like HR but a little bit more psyc related haha. Not my first choice for a future job, but I think I would like it. Plus, it makes decent money =D
@xxpoetry_in_motionx -
I have several favorite chick flicks (I prefer to call them rom-coms though haha). Off the top of my head I really like Love Actually, Definitely, Maybe, and Shanghai Kiss.
@Roadlesstaken -
*gasp* NO “srew” you!!
Naahh it’s just that you lack time and you still promise something,that takes alot of your time.. and really you are too nice. and i like it.. ^^ haha
aaahh no car stories then?? only privet? ok i will keep that in mind then.. someday i will ask it.. and be sure you have something fun to tell LOL
HEY cooll! learn how to make dimsums, I never tasted those and I would like to! So i think i will put you on work hahah!
@tweeny_tear -
You never had dim sum?!! Does Finland not have dim sum places around? They are quite delicious!
How do you handle those ‘rainy days’ life throws at you? What makes you smile?
@AubbySilver -
By rainy days do you mean my lazy days? If so, I’m either just surfing the net,, readying about pop culture/gossip, reading a book (I just started “The Lovely Bones now), reading magazines, watching tv shows, or watching movies. I would say play tennis as well, but if it’s raining I probably wouldn’t be able to do that haha. Oh of course hang out w/ friends doing w/e.
There’s a lot that makes me smile haha. Anything in particular? Of course tv shows and comedies can make me laugh and smile. Little children being silly brings a smile to my face. Oh, and sushi buffets
@Roadlesstaken -
Never had dim sum.
no dimsum places anywhere near.. or not that i would know.. I have heard they are DELICious! thats why i would like to test if it is true
@tweeny_tear -
They are. So many different types of dim sum to try!
haha i suck at asking questionsssss
that’s a good song. kinda sad’ tho. >.<
i need to think of a question for you haha.
@s0rair0 -
Haha go ahead, pick anything.
The Lovely Bones is a fantastic book. I think i read it 3 or 4 years back. Also, Love Actually is my (now) traditional Christmas movie! I love it. And yes Shiver is a great song is it not? I’m actually a little surprised you recognized it. But its awesome that you could!
you know whats awful, i dont think i actually know your name… heh. i feel pretty bad about that.
@midgetmachine -
I heard the book was good, which is why I picked it up. I could probably watch Love Actually over and over again and not be bored. Maroon 5 is one of my favorite bands! Do you like their newest album?
It’s alright, I don’t think we ever formally asked each other our names. I’m Alex (*hint* look at the big image on top of this page haha). What’s your name?
Ha, wow, i really didn’t even see that.
i’m not the most observant of people.
I love all of their albums. Maroon 5 is also one of my favorites, more recently though. I love so many of the songs on there, on both albums really. I haven’t heard the remix album yet actually. hmmmm, i think im gonna have to get it.
Love Actually never gets old, least not in my book.

Good luck with your job…and getting into some graduate school. I know that’s tough…my sister just went through the whole graduate school deal. And she finally decided (and is now attending) U Mich…and she’s going crazy over finals right now ^^;;
..and to think I’ll have to deal with the whole college deal soon. :sigh:
Anyway, as for my curiosity…I have to ask, how do you muster up the courage to talk about your personal life to complete strangers? Hmm…and since you majored in psychology…how do you cope with family issues/matters?
@RciindiiR -
In some ways, it’s a lot easier to talk about that stuff to strangers. So far it’s working out because I haven’t really talked about anything extremely personal yet.
Well being a psyc major, I understand the dynamics of why my family interacts the way it does. For example, I understand that my parents have a much different way of showing their love to my brother and I than say a typical American family. I still get frustrated with them though haha.
Woah, I’m a psych major too, going on my third year. *sigh I hope that you get a job and get into grad school. Gotta look out for my psych fellows. ^__^
Ever think of doing an internship during your free times? Get experience?
@glimpseh2o -
Thanks! I’ve tried to find jobs within the HR business initially, but was having a tough time with that. I really should start looking again, now that I can say I’m trying to go to grad school to be an I/O psychologist. I’ll probably have better luck. I’m glad you remind me! I really should look into that more.
