Happy New Years from Hong Kong!
***EDIT***
Thanks for all the comments and wishes so far from yall that have commented or wrote to me on Facebook. More of you visitors to my stuff should as well
.
There are sooooo many malls in HK! I think I’ve literally been to over 30 malls, not even exaggerating. You girls would love it here haha. Women clothes are extremely cheap! If i knew everyone size I could probably buy each one of yall something.
Got word that Derek should be in HK soon. Really hope we can hang out sometime soon! I think it would be cool chilling with a friend I normally hang out w/ in the US all the way over here.
My goodness…sorry, but when I come back to the US I’m gonna have a much higher standard of girls, at least physically. Cute girls are everywhere (especially in the malls. Coincidence?)! Whether or not they have a good personality is another matter…but there must be at least a few of the millions of girls I’ve seen that also could make me laugh or can hold up a fun conversation. At least this help reaffirms that there’s indeed a big ocean of girls out there, and that I shouldn’t get hung up on one for so long. Ah only time…
~Some interesting things I’ve noticed in Hong Kong~
…about the people
*The girls:
~Hair: long, colored, straight, usually with bangs
~fashion: black stockings w/ boots (often rain boots) as seen in example below, very tight jeans, chucks, scarves, cool glasses, tend to wear a lot of layers (my guess for the reason for that below)
I dig it.
~seems like EVERYONE is skinny. Quite a contrast to the US…
*Mouth masks. People seem to wear it either to protect from the polution or to prevent spreading their germs if they’re sick. People w/ masks are rare, but the sight of them is very peculiar when you don’t see people wearing them at all in the US.
*50-60 degrees is freezing to people in HK. Everyone is layered up as if it’s 25 degrees. Kinda funny whenever my family in HK remark that it’s so cold when to me it feels like early fall. Ahh beautiful weather….
*Generally, people here are very much like people in the US. Except more Asian. And skinny. And speak Cantonese. And have really good fashion sense haha.
I could probably go on to write a bunch more…but I’m tired now. I won’t tell you the next subject for my next entry so it can be a surprise alright? Hope to hear from you guys!

Wow…that was definitely motivation for my FAT ass to drop the 20lbs I picked up…. =oP
P.S.- Give an entry on the New Years fireworks and all!!!!
i. am. jealous. k’jga’iejrgaerg
sounds a lot like new york.. with the style and everyone being skinny.
A lot of girls cover up for the reason of wanting to be light skinned. Well thats how it is in Vietnam. They don’t like tan skin. As for the mask its also so their face doesn’t tan, and because theres also a lot of dust here. We’re constantly on motorbikes its so fun! ^.^ my hair flowing through the wind, i love that part. Do they ride motorbikes much in Hong Kong?
When I was in HK, I noticed everyone cared about their appearence.
There’s lots of cute girls and no hot guys. The guys swore a lot. People played on psp or listened to their mp3 players.
@Got_Takoyaki - Yep, when I was there I was the only cute guy. j/k
