Damien Rice Concert
What a blast! Damien Rice rocked the house at the Borgata in Atlantic City and I’m so glad I got a chance to see him play live! Raquel and I were right in front so we saw and heard everything all nice and clear. This was something we said we would do before and I’m glad we decided to go
His music sounds just as good, if not even better, than his CDs. So much emotion he puts in his songs…it’s unbelievable. Lisa Hannigan is an AWESOME singer as well. Jeff can’t say anything about her anymore because she definitely deserves to play along side the great Damien Rice haha.
He played at least 9 songs, some old and some new. I think they were the following:
1. Volcano
2. Me, My Yoke and I (WOW…all i can say…)
3. 9 Crimes
4. The Blower’s Daughter Part II (made a girl weep behind me)
5. Cold Water (excellent ending! I want this version!)
6. Eskimo
7. The Blowers Daughter
8. Cheers Darling (smoking and drinking while playing!)
9. a cover song by Lisa
Yup, “Me, My Yoke and I” and “The Blower’s Daughter Part II” are my new favorite songs. I do gotta say though; his newer songs are quite a bit raunchier than his older songs. He went from “we might kiss, if we are alone” to “you wanna be fucked inside out” Yea it sorta threw me off, but his songs are still great so it doesnt matter.

Great concert…too bad Damien Rice was only a special guest so he only played for an hour
. O well, just his part was worth the admission. We didnt even stay for Fiona Apple section of the show haha. shoot, i was there for The Rice!

On a side note, the Borgata Hotel/Casino looked gorgeous inside. I wanna go back there for all that other stuff in the future (and when i have the money haha).

okay i am talking to you now but i want to know why the statue is moving…glad you had fun at the concert, way to mention you were going??
even scarier was this girl in front of a haunted house. she was in a box with her legs gone and we couldnt figure out how she was hiding her legs.
wat the heck..bad alex..lol…what did they do when they caught you??
