The Tennis Club had our first match this past Saturday against JHU! 
I’m so glad every worked out (more or less).  There was a little
confusion on who would be playing or not but overall it was
successful.  We lost 4-6, but we definitely could have won if we were
more polished.  I have faith in my team.  Here are some pics from that

Later on Saturday Raquel and I went to the Acappella Festival.  It was
pretty good, except way too short.  Faux Paz was probably the best one
up there, but the other groups were great as well.  I didn’t really
like the Mama’s Boys rendition of “Sugar we’re going down”.  Way to
strain…but otherwise it was a good night.

So busy….

Tennis Practice this past Wednesday night:  Success!

Buying a new coat for a lot less than I expected:  Success!

Getting a 102% on my experimental psych quiz/test:  Success!

Lewis Black show last night was a blast!  If you didnt go see it you sure did miss a lot of great laughs!

so many great lines from that line…however one advice; get rid of
that UMBC comedian!  It’s painful to listen to him try to be funny
for 10 minutes…sorry dude.

Raquel and I ate at jessica b. boyfriend’s place today.  Food was
pretty good and it was fun.  Adrian is some character Jessica .  Hope he doesn’t feel too bad that I beat him in the last game heh.

Last night was pretty unexpected heh.  My plan was to have a quiet
night, u know, sleep early and get 8 hours of sleep for the first time
in a while.

After playing some pool w/ roberto and raquel we went back to her
dorm.  Kim and elise later came by and raquel left w/ them. 
Roberto was gonna go to a friend’s b-day party at 10ish so i thought
that would be the end of my night.  Nope! 

Somehow raquel and the girls (plus anokhi) decided to go to the same
party, so we all went there around 11ish.  I was kinda shady about
it first since i didnt even know the guy who’s the b-day is for, but
w/e.  so we went and stayed for maybe a half hour before we
ditched it heh.  went to IHOP to eat, then we all went back to
raquel’s dorm where we ended up staying up til 4:30am playing cards and
watching batman begins. 

Today is the Lewis Black show!  I’m really excited…hope to see yall there!

ok, so maybe i was a little wrong about today.

Today was pretty good, except for some issues w/ the Bubble Tea
fundraiser.  The FYC bonfire was a success!  A year in the
making…I hope the advisor for our club can get some pics up
soon.  There were a whole lot of people there, including people
from 92 Q.  My friend Phil and I manage to win a CD by completing
a contest where you had to be the first 3 people to give them exactly
92 cents.  Sweet!

Free pool later that night w/ free food and drinks finished this pretty
great day. But you know what sucks?  NO NEW LOST EPISODE FOR 3
WEEKS!!!!!  Damn I’m gonna die haha.

Pho night was great yesterday and Skylight Room food was awesome
today.  It’s really sad that those are the best things that have
happen so far this school week.  Everything else sucks ass

OOo some updates:

Friday
Tennis meeting could have had more people, but the people that were
there hit around for the longest time.  After visiting raquel up
at CP for a bit a headed back to UMBC to go see Midnight Madness
w/ Kevin and Alan.  The thing was alright, but it was pretty slow
in some parts.  I dont know about the ladies, but seeing two
nearly naked guys sitting in a bucket of ice is not
entertaining..nope.  The dance stuff was pretty hot tho.

afterwards i stayed over kevin’s dorm and we all didnt end up sleepin
to 4am because the guys kept playing super smash brothers in the
room.  Note to self:  don’t stay over Kevin’s dorm if you want to study or sleep .

Saturday
Woke up to Marvin energetic wake up call haha.  The tournament was
pretty fun i suppose.  I bet all of us could have dont a lot
better if we had gotten some quality sleep!  I won my first match against one of the twins 8-6 before losing to “Dark” 5-8.  It was fun so no biggie.  I manage to recruit some good players so everything worked out

at night i headed over to CP to watch the Treble Makers and Generics Acappella show. 
The Treble Makers did a lot better this time around so now they have
gained another fan heh.  Of course the show rocked the house.

afterewards Raquel, Laura and I went to Ten Ren to meet up w/ Karen and
friends.  That was pretty cool seeing her again.  Went back
to the dorm because i was tired and eventually slept.  had some
distractions, you know….

Sunday
I had to hurry from cp to my house to Oriental Manor for the CSA Dim Sum trip. 
There were A LOT of people there; check out some other people’s xanga

Hung out at Columbia mall afterwards.  Lai was helping me look for
a good coat to wear and i found one at Banana Republic. 
Unfortuanately it cost 300 dollars!!!!  Even if i can get it for
50% off from Caspy it will still cost 150…but its so nice…give me
some money so i can afford this:

It’s suade and everthing.  O man…

Great weekend…

I got an 89.3% on my sensation and perception exam today.  So close!  I will get that A one of these days…

The tennis club is progressing nicely.  Hopefully if everything
works out we will have our first match against JHU on October 29

Tomorrow im gonna go to Midnight Madness at 10…anyone else wanna come
w/ me?  Saturday is the singles tournament and on Sunday is the
CSA Dim Sum trip.  Come by if you like .

One last story; yesterday night I accidently burnt my instant lo mein
in the microwave near the gameroom.  Apparently I was in such a
hurry that i forgot to add the water.  When I went to check on it
a billow of smoke came out of the opening and I see a big ass burnt
hole on the middle of my lo mein.  Yea, needless to say I made it
seem like the Commons was on fire…it was so embarrassing to explain
to everyone what happen and that I did it.  Even this morning it
was still smelling like burnt plastic and I was still hearing random
comments about why it smelled like smoke upstairs haha.  Never
again…

Mama’s Boys surprise on Raquel = not successful . 
Unfortunately because of weather and traffic she couldnt make it to
UMBC on time, so my plan didn’t work.  Don’t worry about me
though; even though i was hugely dissappointed and sad about it I may
attempt to do this again, except this time I will make sure these
problems wont happen again.  O well, at least she thought it was
pretty sweet.  I sure got thanked…hehe.

The First Year Council free gameroom night was more or less a
success.  There were definitely a good amount of people all
night.  Next time we need to advertise our name at the event and
make sure the food works out better.  Tis was a fun night.

All weekend was pretty ugly outside, w/ all the rain and all.  It
stopped raining today so we had our doubles tournament today! 
Dali and I won our first match against Kevin and Marvin 8-4, won our
next match by forfeit, won our semis match 8-2 but then lost in the
finals 6-3, 6-1.  Heh i’m pretty happy w/ the results, although it
would feel good to win the doubles one of these semesters (I’ve gotten
to the final of doubles in all 3 tournaments i have participated in so
far!  I dont want any more cups!!!)

afterwards marvin, kevin, jimmy and I went to arundel mills to see Serenity.

The movies was…interesting.  I bet if i had seen the series
“Firefly” (by which the movie is a continuation of) i would have liked
it more.  It was pretty good tho, w/ nice graphics and funny
dialouge.  still…pretty weird sci-fi flick…

The weekend sure did fly…
